SMS Policy & Opt-In

Last updated: May 3, 2026

This page explains JobStream’s SMS (text message) program: who we are, what messages we send, how consumers opt in, how often they receive messages, and how to opt out. It is intended to satisfy the proof-of-consent requirements of U.S. mobile carriers, the CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices, and Twilio’s toll-free verification process.

1. Who We Are

JobStream is a field service management platform operated by Michael S Donghia, a sole proprietor doing business as JobStream. JobStream is used by home service businesses (plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, cleaners, landscapers, and similar trades) to manage bookings, schedules, jobs, and invoices for their own end customers.

SMS messages are sent through JobStream from a single dedicated toll-free number on behalf of these businesses. The sender brand of all messages is “JobStream.”

2. Types of Messages We Send

Consumers who opt in may receive transactional text messages including:

  • Booking confirmations: when an appointment is scheduled.
  • Arrival reminders: the day before and shortly before a scheduled visit.
  • Schedule changes: if an appointment is rescheduled, delayed, or canceled.
  • On-the-way notifications: when the technician is en route.
  • Invoice and receipt notifications: when an invoice is sent or a payment is received.
  • Account and security messages: including login codes for the customer portal.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program.

3. How Consumers Opt In

Consumers opt in by submitting the public booking form at app.jobstreamhub.com/book/{business}, hosted by the service business they are booking with. On the contact-information step, the consumer must check a clearly labeled consent box before the booking can be submitted. The consent box is checked only by the consumer’s own affirmative action, and the disclosure language appears immediately next to it.

The exact disclosure shown at the point of consent reads:

Yes, text me appointment updates from JobStream.
By checking this box, you agree to receive text messages from JobStream about your appointment, including booking confirmations, arrival reminders, schedule changes, and invoice notifications. Msg frequency varies (typically 2–5 messages per appointment). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our SMS Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms.

The consent box is unchecked by default for new bookings until the consumer affirmatively checks it. No SMS messages are sent to a phone number unless the box is checked at the time of booking.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies by appointment. A typical service appointment results in 2–5 messages over the lifecycle of the job (booking confirmation, day-before reminder, on-the-way notification, and invoice or receipt). Customers with multiple or recurring appointments will receive proportionally more messages.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Charges, if any, are determined by the consumer’s mobile carrier and plan. JobStream does not charge consumers for receiving these messages.

6. How to Opt Out

Consumers may opt out of all JobStream SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message received from JobStream. Carrier-level STOP processing immediately halts all further messages from this number to the consumer.
  • Unchecking the consent box on a future booking, or asking the service business to remove the SMS preference from their account.

After opting out, the consumer will receive a single confirmation message that they have been unsubscribed and will not receive further messages.

7. How to Get Help

Consumers may text HELP to any JobStream message to receive a reply with contact information for support, or email hello@jobstreamhub.com.

8. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Privacy

Phone numbers and SMS message content are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Mobile information, including phone numbers, is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data is used solely to deliver the transactional messages described in this policy.

10. Terms

Use of the JobStream SMS program is also subject to our Terms of Service.
