Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Michael S Donghia, a sole proprietor doing business as JobStream (“JobStream,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the JobStream field service management platform, the marketing website at jobstreamhub.com, and the application at app.jobstreamhub.com (collectively, the “Service”).
JobStream is a business-to-business tool. Most personal information we process is provided by our customers (service businesses) about their own end customers. When we act on behalf of a customer in that way, the customer is the “controller” of that data and we are the “processor.”
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, business name, email address, phone number, password, and billing address.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Content you upload: customers, quotes, jobs, invoices, photos, notes, and other business records you create inside the Service.
- Support communications: messages you send to our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Device and log data: browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, and diagnostic information.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure how the Service is used.
Information from connected third parties
- QuickBooks Online: if you connect QBO, we access and store (a) company information, (b) customers, (c) items, (d) invoices, and (e) payments, along with account identifiers and OAuth tokens. We only access the scopes you authorize during the OAuth flow, and we only use that data to sync records between JobStream and your QBO company file.
- Stripe: payment status, payout information, and transaction IDs related to invoices you process.
- Twilio and SendGrid: delivery status, error codes, and metadata for SMS and email messages sent through the Service.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To sync data between JobStream and third-party integrations you have connected, including QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Twilio, and SendGrid;
- To send transactional communications (account notices, receipts, security alerts, product updates);
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- To bill for paid plans and process payments;
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security risks;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information to train third-party AI/ML models without explicit customer consent.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers (sub-processors): cloud hosting (Vercel, Neon, AWS S3), payment processing (Stripe), communications (Twilio, SendGrid), accounting integration (Intuit QuickBooks Online), and error monitoring. These providers are contractually required to process data only on our instructions and to protect it.
- At your direction: when you enable an integration or share data with another user inside your organization.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. QuickBooks Online Data
If you connect QuickBooks Online, the following rules apply in addition to the rest of this policy:
- We access QBO data through the official Intuit API using OAuth 2.0. Access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted at rest.
- We only request the scopes strictly required to sync customers, items, invoices, and payments between JobStream and your QBO company file.
- We do not use QBO data for advertising, resale, or any purpose other than providing and improving the JobStream Service to you.
- You can disconnect the integration at any time from Settings > QuickBooks inside JobStream, or from your Intuit account under “Apps > Connected Apps.” Disconnecting revokes our access tokens and halts further sync.
- On disconnection or account deletion, we will delete stored QBO tokens and mapping records within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, audit logging, multi-tenant data isolation, and routine security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay as required by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing hello@jobstreamhub.com.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or similar state privacy laws. These rights can include:
- Access to the personal information we hold about you;
- Correction of inaccurate information;
- Deletion of personal information;
- Portability of your data in a machine-readable format;
- Objection to or restriction of certain processing;
- Withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@jobstreamhub.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are an end customer of one of our customers (a service business that uses JobStream), please contact that business directly — they control your data.
8. International Users
JobStream is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
